Videos aren’t new and have been around for a while, but they’re becoming increasingly popular among affiliate marketers, and for very good reason. Video sells. Traditional sales copy still sells as well, but video has a very unique attribute about it that appeals more to consumers than just plain text.

The advantage of video is that you can showcase how something works in real-time. For instance, if you’re promoting a cool new software application that will make internet marketer’s lives so much easier in finding profitable niches, use video to demonstrate just exactly how it will do that.

Then, there’s the other type of videos where you sit in front of the camera and talk. This  can also have a lot of impact as people can now put a face to the words. These types of videos are more personal, and if you provide useful information and don’t sound salesy, you can build trust among your viewers.

For this type of video you can use just a basic digital camera or web cam if you want. Or, if you would prefer something a little higher quality you can purchase an inexpensive digital camcorder. Whichever one you choose, you’ll be making a very wise investment in your affiliate marketing business. And, you can even write it off as a business expense during tax time.
