Well, when I first got started online I had the chance to get a mentor (I strongly advise that you get a mentor by the way), and he taught me the first commandment of Internet marketing: get your autoresponder. I followed his advice, and let me tell you, I am really glad that I did. Now, I have more than four thousands subscribers, and this is really important for my Internet business.

Here are some of the things I managed to do with my lists:

1. I became a top affiliate for various Internet marketing products just by promoting to my list. I make sure that the product fits their need though. Unless other marketers, I do not promote very product under the sun just to make money or win a prize. I focus on educating my subscribers and giving them exactly what they need to achieve their short and long term goals.
2. I went from being an affiliate marketer to making my first sale as a product owner in just one day. Since I already had a list as an affiliate, once I decided to become a product owner, everything was really easy. All I did was creating a product, then I started a pre-launch with my list (Jeff Walker product launch formula style). The pre-launch was run for one week, and I finally launched my product. I can say that it was really amazing to see the sales pouring in. I made $300+ in 24H. For many people it’s not a lot of money (for others, it’s a lot) but since it was my second product and I sold it for less than 20 dollars, I made a lot of sales…and this was with a tiny list.
3. I managed to outsource some of my work directly with my list. Now, this is a huge time saver, and many marketers don’t do that, but they have direct access to a lot of people that can write their articles, build their websites, update their blog and build backlinks for them. I never found a better virtual assistant than my list members. Plus you can get excellent work for really cheap when you know what you are doing. Here is a tip for intermediate marketers. If you already know what you are doing, you can make a proposition…I teach you IM, and you work for me as an “Internet”. This is a great way to get a full VA team for free. Try it, it works. I remember that I did a couple of tasks like writing blog posts and a couple of other things as an Internet for a marketer a couple of years ago. This is a great way to learn.

Having your own list of subscribers is an essential part of your Internet business. Don’t neglect this and start right away with aweber.

As for wordpress, search engine love blogs, and you should absolutely have one or several wordpress blog (like this one) in your Internet empire.

CJ.com – Commission Junction allows you to sign up as a Publisher, otherwise known as an affiliate. There are several good analytic programs available that you can install on your website or blog. One of those is Google Analytics, which is free and easy to install on your site. Google Analytics provides a wealth of information about the visitors on your blog, including the keywords they searched to find it, the length of time they’re on your blog and reading your blog posts, the blog posts that receive the most traffic, etc.

This is all very useful information that we can use to adjust specific blog posts and our blog as a whole to attract more traffic, keep that traffic on our blog longer, and make more money in the process.

Most web hosting companies provide stats for your website or blog, but most of these programs don’t show you everything. More often than not there’s a good deal of information you’re not being made aware of.

Now I want to cover exactly what PLR is and how it can help you to make money online using our article marketing strategy.

PLR stands for Private Label Rights. With PLR, you basically have the right to change and alter the articles however you want. You also have the right to put your name on them as the author. Some PLR have different stipulations, so when you get a hold of PLR articles, make sure you have the right to change them and put your name on them. This is important for what we’ll be doing.

Now, just follow the steps in my previous post, re-writing the PLR articles and submitting them to article directories. But, we’re going to take this a step further and look at some other uses for our PLR content. While these articles can be used to submit to article directories, we can also use this content on free blogs and help promote our website/blog.

There are many free blogs available on the internet that will allow you to post whatever type of content you want. Of course, the articles you post should be relevant to your website or whatever page you’ll be linking to from the articles. Sign up to these sites and try to post one article a day, or as often as you can.

These sites include, but are not limited to:

1. Hubpages
2. Wetpaint
3. Blogger
4. Wordpress.com
5. Gather
6. Xomba
7. Quizilla
8. Squidoo

You can do a simple Google search to find a lot more free blogs that you can post your PLR content to. You want to post as often as possible to these sites.

Within your articles create a link that links back to your website or a page within your site, like a blog post. Remember to use your keywords in the anchor text. This strategy is going to have the same affect as the article marketing strategy. So, you’ll be building more relevant backlinks from highly trusted sites, ensuring you’ll increase your search engine rankings and your online income.

For beginners, writing on a consistent basis can be a challenge and overwhelming. If you’re not used to writing, coming up with ideas and organizing information can be challenging and time consuming. Once you have a few articles under your belt, you’re going to want to submit these articles to article directory sites. I recommend submitting them to EzineArticles.com and GoArticles.com to start. These two sites are the most popular, and EzineArticles has a lot of authority with Google.

To take advantage of your articles, create a catchy resource box that briefly describes what you do, your business, or something else that pertains to the article. Along with that, be sure to include a link, or links, that link to your website, blog, etc. that you want the readers to check out.

When including your links in the resource box, it’s important that you don’t just type in your website URL. Be sure to use anchor text that contains your website’s keywords. This how to take full advantage of every article you submit, and here’s why.

Every link that is created from your articles acts as a vote for your website, assuming those links are pointing to it. Those “votes” tell the search engines that the URL the links are pointing to is important and worth checking out. These links are considered backlinks, or also known as backward links.

The more backlinks you generate using keywords as the anchor text, the higher your website will rank in search engines for those keywords. I don’t think I need to tell you that once you gain a high search engine position for specific keywords, your website will be flooded by a lot of targeted traffic.

Once you get a lot of traffic to your site, your online income will increase tremendously. Article marketing is a very effective method to make money with affiliate marketing and has been proven to work for years and will continue to work for as long as the internet is alive. What really makes them so nice is that they give us a glimpse of how well products are doing in the open market. Thanks to Gravity, we can see the selling trends for any product we want. If you’re interested in promoting a specific product, you’ll be able to tell if the product is selling before you ever promote it.

Of course this means that other people are making money selling the product, but this actually a good thing for you. You might not like the idea of competition, but in this case we want to know that there is a market for the product and that people are buying. Competition is healthy.
