Now I want to cover exactly what PLR is and how it can help you to make money online using our article marketing strategy.

PLR stands for Private Label Rights. With PLR, you basically have the right to change and alter the articles however you want. You also have the right to put your name on them as the author. Some PLR have different stipulations, so when you get a hold of PLR articles, make sure you have the right to change them and put your name on them. This is important for what we’ll be doing.

Now, just follow the steps in my previous post, re-writing the PLR articles and submitting them to article directories. But, we’re going to take this a step further and look at some other uses for our PLR content. While these articles can be used to submit to article directories, we can also use this content on free blogs and help promote our website/blog.

There are many free blogs available on the internet that will allow you to post whatever type of content you want. Of course, the articles you post should be relevant to your website or whatever page you’ll be linking to from the articles. Sign up to these sites and try to post one article a day, or as often as you can.

These sites include, but are not limited to:

1. Hubpages
2. Wetpaint
3. Blogger
4. Wordpress.com
5. Gather
6. Xomba
7. Quizilla
8. Squidoo

You can do a simple Google search to find a lot more free blogs that you can post your PLR content to. You want to post as often as possible to these sites.

Within your articles create a link that links back to your website or a page within your site, like a blog post. Remember to use your keywords in the anchor text. This strategy is going to have the same affect as the article marketing strategy. So, you’ll be building more relevant backlinks from highly trusted sites, ensuring you’ll increase your search engine rankings and your online income.

For beginners, writing on a consistent basis can be a challenge and overwhelming. If you’re not used to writing, coming up with ideas and organizing information can be challenging and time consuming. But, have no fear because your skills and knowledge will develop as you move forward with affiliate marketing.

If you’re just starting out, you may want to get a hold of some PLR content. I’ll talk more about this in my next post, but with PLR articles you’ll be able to re-write and distribute them as your own. You’ll also want to change the title as well.

As you gain more experience and your knowledge grows with affiliate marketing, you’ll be able to start writing your own articles from scratch. The more you write, the easier you’ll find it to be to sit down and write a decent size article in as little as 20 minutes.

Once you have a few articles under your belt, you’re going to want to submit these articles to article directory sites. I recommend submitting them to EzineArticles.com and GoArticles.com to start. These two sites are the most popular, and EzineArticles has a lot of authority with Google.

To take advantage of your articles, create a catchy resource box that briefly describes what you do, your business, or something else that pertains to the article. Along with that, be sure to include a link, or links, that link to your website, blog, etc. that you want the readers to check out.

When including your links in the resource box, it’s important that you don’t just type in your website URL. Be sure to use anchor text that contains your website’s keywords. This how to take full advantage of every article you submit, and here’s why.

Every link that is created from your articles acts as a vote for your website, assuming those links are pointing to it. Those “votes” tell the search engines that the URL the links are pointing to is important and worth checking out. These links are considered backlinks, or also known as backward links.

The more backlinks you generate using keywords as the anchor text, the higher your website will rank in search engines for those keywords. I don’t think I need to tell you that once you gain a high search engine position for specific keywords, your website will be flooded by a lot of targeted traffic.

Once you get a lot of traffic to your site, your online income will increase tremendously. Article marketing is a very effective method to make money with affiliate marketing and has been proven to work for years and will continue to work for as long as the internet is alive. Don’t underestimate the full potential that article marketing has. Take advantage of it today!

What really makes them so nice is that they give us a glimpse of how well products are doing in the open market. Thanks to Gravity, we can see the selling trends for any product we want. If you’re interested in promoting a specific product, you’ll be able to tell if the product is selling before you ever promote it.

Of course this means that other people are making money selling the product, but this actually a good thing for you. You might not like the idea of competition, but in this case we want to know that there is a market for the product and that people are buying. Competition is healthy.

There are three reasons why I recommend affiliate marketing to make money online.

1. Zero cost – It doesn’t cost anything to start making money with affiliate marketing. You can join affiliate programs for free and start promoting other people’s products and services with zero out of pocket expense. There are plenty of free methods to get traffic to your affiliate offers, and with the use of free blogs, you can easily write reviews and recommendations for the products you want to sell. At some point you may want to invest in your own blog or website, but that’s completely optional.
2. You don’t need your own product or service – When you’re just starting out, you probably won’t have your own product or service. And that’s okay, because with affiliate marketing you make money by promoting other people’s products. Simply refer people, and if they buy, you earn a commission. It’s better than having your own product because you get to choose from thousands of already reputable products and earn a generous amount of money for your efforts. However, there may come a time when you’ll want to create your own product, and that’s fine too.

How exactly can you use social bookmarking to make money online?

If you’re not familiar with social bookmarking sites, they’re basically a social community where you can “bookmark” your favorite sites. Other users can see your bookmarks and vote, comment and share them with others. As you can see already, these types of sites can be used to promote your own sites as well.

Social bookmark sites hold a lot of authority in the eyes of the search engines, especially Google. Utilizing these sites will help drive traffic to your blog, and specifically, blog posts.

To get started, you’ll want to sign up for as many bookmarking sites as possible. I recommend first signing up with Delicious and bookmarking sites, and then you can import those bookmarks into the other bookmarking sites.

Whenever you bookmark a blog post, or any web page, you include a title, description and tags/keywords. The benefit of doing this is that whenever you bookmark a page, the title you enter becomes the anchor text for the link that points back to the page. If you’ve been following my posts on backlink building, you’ll know that this has a lot of benefit for your search engine rankings.

Using this strategy and bookmarking your blog posts in which you want to get a lot of exposure will help create high quality backlinks for those posts, thus driving them higher in search engine results.

So, in terms of making money with affiliate marketing, if you wrote a blog post promoting a specific affiliate product or program, you want to get as many backlinks to that specific post as possible. The more backlinks you build, the higher that post will rank for your keywords. Eventually, sales will start coming in as your traffic increases.

I hope you can see the benefit of using social bookmarking as a method to make money online. As a word of caution, don’t simply bookmark all of your posts and pages; bookmark other sites that you find interesting as well. Keep a good balance as to not make your accounts look spammy.

Well, this post is titled Affiliate Marketing for Dummies because I’m going to explain exactly what affiliate marketing is and help you understand everything about it in easy to understand lingo. After reading, you won’t be confused about affiliate marketing, and you’ll understand how to make money with it.

In a nutshell, affiliate marketing involves an affiliate who markets someone else’s product or service. So, if you were to market a product or service that someone else has created, you would be considered an affiliate.

But why would you be called an affiliate? The definition of the term affiliate is this according to Merriam-Webster: “To connect or associate oneself.” As an affiliate, you’re connecting or associating yourself with the product owner and the product itself. You’re marketing the product on behalf of the product owner. Hence, you’re an affiliate marketer.

Do you realize that your time could be better spent promoting affiliate products and making money? Yes, these sites can be used to make money with affiliate marketing.

The key with anything you do when promoting affiliate products is to brand yourself. So, the key to making these sites work for you is branding yourself as an expert in your field. Facebook, Twitter and Myspace all allow you to post updates to your account. Use this to your advantage to promote the products you recommend, but don’t abuse it.

Build friends and a following that will be interested in what you have to talk about. This is how you will convert your status updates into sales. Also make use of other key features like your profile page and “about me” section. Use these as a “sales page” about you or your business.

On Facebook, you can setup your own personal Fan Page. This can be used to drive traffic to your site and build your list. Invite your friends to become a fan, and tell them to do the same.

And, going back to your friends, you first have to build them up. Take it slow as these sites limit the amount of friends you can add in a day. Add too many and you can be seen as a spammer and have your account deleted. You don’t want this to happen if you’ve spent a lot of time on your profile and other features

So, how do you go about building an email list of subscribers?

The first thing you’ll need is an incentive. People generally want something of value before they’ll just hand over their name and email address. If you can provide something of value, like a free report, free software or just useful information about a particular topic that deals within your niche, this will increase the likelihood of getting people to sign up.

Once you have your incentive, you’ll need a landing page (squeeze page) which will be used to capture your visitor’s name and email addresses. For more information about landing pages, check out a recent article on Creating a Winning Landing Page. Basically, you want to briefly describe what your incentive is and make it clear that all they have to do in order to get your incentive is to provide their name and email address. You’ll need an opt-in form to make this work, which is provided by your autoresponder service or software, whichever you’re using.

Once the form is filled out, your visitor’s should receive an automatic message with download instructions for their free report, etc. You should also have a series of emails already created that will be sent out periodically.

The important thing here is that you build and nurture your subscribers. Provide them with valuable information and keep them interested. Build a relationship with them, and let them know the real you. Be personal and upfront with them, and most importantly, be honest.

Doing these things will ensure that you build a healthy and responsive email list that will trust you and your recommendations and allow you to make money with affiliate marketing promoting other people’s products. This is a surefire way to make money online.

So, how do you go about promoting affiliate products to generate sales?

There are many different ways to market affiliate programs, but if you have a website, that’s where you should start. For example, if your website is “work from home” related, you may have various products you’re promoting geared towards the work from home niche. All you would have to do is put links or banners up on your website linking to those products.

However, a more effective method to promoting affiliate products is to blog about them. If your website is a blog, or you have a blog installed on your website (I recommend Wordpress), then you’re already set for this. If you don’t have a blog, I would encourage you to install one as it can be a very powerful marketing tool.

In order to make this work, your goal should be to provide an informative review style blog post. You want to be subjective and provide the benefits of the product, but at the same time you don’t want to sound like you’re trying to pitch to your readers. Stay neutral and provide both positive and negative attributes.

Your readers will be able to notice if you’re trying to sell to them, and that shouldn’t be the focus of the review. You want to provide them with enough information to make a sound decision on whether or not they need the product. That’s it. Of course, provide your affiliate link within the post.

Be sure to add a “call to action” that encourages them to click through to the product sales page. They will happily do so assuming you gave them the information they were looking for without being biased about the product you’re writing the review about.

As a leaving tip, it’s always better if you actually use the product you’re writing a review about. This allows your review to be more personal and honest, and your readers will trust you more because you’re talking from firsthand experience.
